Parker Law’s first drumset was actually made of pots and pans. A natural young drummer, he dove into the disciplined world of competitive drumline as soon as he could carry one (some would say sooner), juxtaposed with playing in friend’s punk-rock bands, before entering the professional gigging world at age 18. Over the past decade in the Los Angeles music scene, Parker has played, toured and recorded with many artists of differing styles and notoriety, and studied one-on-one with a number of percussion professionals. In recent years, Parker has brought that experience, with a natural desire for sharing and inspiring through learning, into the teaching realm. Each lesson caters to the student’s unique needs and goals, with a big-picture approach that blends overall musicality and expression, and the fundamental building blocks that make it all possible.
