LOS ANGELES, June 18, 2016 — Rhodes School of Music is excited to announce their new location in the heart of Larchmont Village. In the early fall of 2016 they will be moving from their current location at 606 N. Larchmont Blvd. to 215 N. Larchmont Blvd. (above the Burger Lounge and almost the location of a controversial marijuana dispensary). Their new facility will have more rooms, better soundproofing, more waiting areas, and a layout that promotes a complete music education experience.
The school began with a few students in 2012 and has grown to over 200 weekly students of all levels and ages. “We owe this growth to the support and loyalty of Larchmont and the surrounding communities” says owner David Rhodes. The proximity of their new studio to their old one will create minimal disruption to their existing clientele while introducing music lessons to the families who frequent Larchmont Blvd.
Rhodes School of music has over 20 teachers and offers instruction on piano, guitar, voice, clarinet, flute, drums, saxophone, violin, audio production, cello, bass, ukulele, mini-music for kids under 5, and band classes. A few times a year they offer a “Piano for Parents” class to give parents more tools for assisting their students with practice, free ukulele workshops, and band classes to foster musical collaboration.
The school’s students are very musically involved in their own communities. They have released albums of electronic music, are key players in their school’s music programs, and organize an annual holiday fund-raising caroling event.
“We adore the Larchmont community and are excited to bring music education to the heart of Los Angeles’ most charming and family-friendly neighborhood.” says Rhodes.
Rhodes School of Music is open 7 days a week and features a highly skilled faculty teaching almost every instrument.
