Melinda Hovsepian, an Armenian born in Iran, moved to the United States in 2008. She began her studies both in piano and violin shortly after arriving in the United States. She studied piano with Dr. Lucy Nargizyan and violin with Mr. Armen Mangasaryan.
Melinda’s talent, hard work and dedication allowed her to achieve her passion to go further to pursue a Bachelor degree in Music. Recently she graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance where she studied with a GRAMMY Award-winning pianist and a Steinway Artist, Dr. Nadia Shpachenko. While studying at the University, she found her passion in conducting and began her conducting studies with Dr. Rickey Badua.
Melinda performed in numerous concerts as a soloist and a chamber musician. She also performed in many orchestras as a violinist.
As much as she enjoys performing, she loves teaching music and sharing her passion and knowledge with her students.
Melinda currently teaches piano and violin and enjoys seeing her students succeed and grow. Her students successfully performed in many recitals and received awards.
