Haley Hedegard is a Los Angeles based cellist and has been playing for over 14 years. Graduating with her Master’s of Music in Cello Performance from UCLA in the spring of 2021, having studied under Antonio Lysy, Haley also holds a Bachelor’s of Music and a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Chapman University. In addition to cello, she also plays the Viola da Gamba, and her musical experience spans early music, the standard classical repertoire, contemporary music, pop music, and more.
As a teacher, Haley believes that good technique is the foundation to good playing. Technique provides a musician the tools needed to cra an unforgettable story for the audience, like words for a writer. Haley strives to instill a lasting love for music in all of her students, and to foster the stories they want to tell with their playing.
