David Long is a composer and pianist with over 25 years of professional experience. He received a Bachelor of Music in Dual Keyboard (Piano/Organ) Performance & Pedagogy from Brigham Young University, continuing there to earn a Master of Music in Composition as well. David then moved to Los Angeles to pursue doctoral studies in music composition at UCLA. The creative and collaborative nature of the film/TV industry eventually drew him to Hollywood.
As a teacher, David is a big believer in communication, with a genuine intent to discern the ways that will inspire and motivate a student to develop a love for the piano, and to establish confidence in their musical knowledge and abilities. He delights in engaging with students of all ages and levels of experience.
