Los Angeles-based saxophonist/composer Ted Taforo is a two-time recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award and is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and CalArts. Taforo has been featured on JUNO award and GRAMMY award nominated albums and has released six records of original music with various labels including Revolver Records, Urban Waves Records, and Future Gods. Ted has performed and/or recorded with artists such as Spoon, Efajemue, Telemakus, Tyler Strickland, Superet, and many others. His woodwind playing and writing can be heard on film/tv including Chef’s Table on Netflix, Sprite Limelight featuring Rakim and Latto, Faye on HBO max, Who is Stan Smith?, The Express Way featuring Dulé Hill on PBS and more. Ted has over 10 years of teaching experience for all ages around Los Angeles including the San Gabriel Unified School District, Point Blank Music School, West Coast Music Academy in Santa Clarita, and South Pasadena Music Center & Conservatory.
